Annexcafe.people.stationeryarts
Established: Requested in late
August 1999 and approved in September 1999
Purpose: To provide a
place for stationery hobbyists to present their creations and present
discussions on how they were created using various techniques. Although
not a teaching group, assistance will be provided where requested.
The group is primarily be for the advanced user.
History:
The group was requested and established by two individuals who
were part of groups on the Microsoft news server, that were displaced
when space was no longer available. After bouncing around from server
to server, Annexcafe was discovered, and the rest is history. We grew
from two posters to as many as eighty regular posters in a span of two
years! As with any group, members do move on to other ventures, real
life or otherwise.
Charter:
Annexcafe.people.stationeryartsStationeryarts is a moderated
newsgroup for the presentation and discussion of stationery creations.
Although developed for the more advanced user and techniques, all
stationery creations are welcomed, no matter how basic or advanced.
Being a family oriented group, pornography is not permitted, howeversome
nudity(in good taste) is permitted. Such posts must have "Rated" in
the subject title. Like any family, disagreement do happen, but that
doesn't give anyone license to be mean. Following good newsgroup
etiquette, cross posting is not allowed. Advertising of stationery
tutorials and related items is permitted. Other advertising requests
must be routed through the newsgroup moderator. The owner/moderator has
discretionary authority over what is permitted in the group and
settlement of disagreements. Trolling and spamming is absolutely
not acceptable.
Group Guidelines and FAQs are made
available in the group weekly. This is a group for stationery hobbyists
which provides a place for relaxation and escapism from real life,
therefore political discussions should be posted to the appropriated
news forum. Copyright material is not permitted except with
the permission of the copyright holder. Activities, such
as the WET(Week End Theme) and holiday events are encouraged, and
announced in the group. The number 1 and only rule in the group is
to "Have Fun". Come join us.
