Years ago divorce was unheard of. Couples were expected to stay together,
'till death do us part'. Today divorce and separation are very common. Couples
stayed together through abuse, infidelity and sickness because they thought it
was what was expected of them.
Families were torn apart emotionally but society stressed that they had to
stay together.
Going through a divorce or separation causes just as many negative effects as
living in an unhealthy marriage does. Divorce/separation are losses. Loss of not
only the companionship of a loving partner but financial losses, emotional
losses, friendship as well as many others.
Divorce/separation is more accepted today as the necessary action to take.
This group is here to help support anyone going through the difficulties of a
divorce or separation. Please feel free to share your ups and downs, insight,
helpful information and links.
