Open Thunderbird

Click Tools

Select Account Settings from the drop down menu

Click on Add Account

Choose the Newsgroup Account option and click NEXT

Enter in your name and email address.

Enter news.annexcafe.com for the Newsgroup Server address.

Enter the name by which you wish to label this account. The Annex Cafe is always a good choice!

Now click FINISH

Here's what it looks like just after you have added the account. Click on the "Server Settings" option so you can check the "Always request authentication when connecting to this server" option. See image below for what it looks like.

Click OK after you have checked the authentication box.

Click on the Manage newsgroup subscriptions option.

Okay here's an important step. When you pulled this up, if you were NOT prompted for your login information, then you need to click the Refresh button to see if that brings it up. If it does not, it means you did not check the "Always request authentication when connecting to this server" option.

This is the username prompt. This is where you enter the USERNAME you chose when you signed up on Annexcafe.

Be sure to check the "Use Password Manager to remember this value." button or you will always get prompted for it.
